I obtained my degree in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing. Throughout my life, I wondered why I was always good at alot but not great at anything... But I was!! I discovered I was GREAT at helping. I've always had this unquenchable desire to help people no matter what genre that help fell under. This is my passion and purpose, and I'm ready!
Since 2001, I have worked indirectly and directly in Special Education. In 2019, I decided to share my knowledge with parents and become a special education, parent education advocate. SpEd is constantly changing as we learn more about specific disabilities. So, as a result, regular conference and course attendance is a must to affectively and effectively aide parents on current best practices and other services.
When I'm not working with clients, I enjoy spending time with my family. Our favorite weekend activity is enjoying the outdoors as much as possible, especially the warmer months of the year. (My midde child lives for winter though.. lol) There's something about sunshine, sand, and water that awakens my soul, even in these COVID-19 times.
I offer a complimentary half-hour consultation to go over your child's current educational issues, plans, and goals. After this initial consultation, I follow up with the family to provide my recommendation on possible next steps or better service solutions for your child's needs.
I am available on an as needed basis to review current needs and offer up next steps parents should take towards their child's educational goals. It is my goal to see that your child has the best educational experience possible.
I offer a complete educational advocacy service that includes educational courses that aide in your understanding of your child's evaluation, current assessment, diagnosis (on basis of educational helps), and IEP/504/BIP. These classes are for a fee.
